北京市交通委員會稱,中國首都共享單車數量較去年的高峰時期下降了約20%。
Now Beijing has 1.91 million bikes, down about 20 percent from a peak of 2.35 million in September, the commission said.
委員會稱現在北京有191萬輛自行車,與9月份235萬輛的峰值相比,下降了大約20%。
From January to June this year, Beijing’s shared bikes posted 1.42 million users every day and nine shared bike operators clocked a total mileage of 400 million kilometers, it said.
據報道,從今年1月到6月,北京共享單車用戶達到每天142萬人次,9家共享自行車運營商的總里程為4億公里。
Starting from September, Beijing introduced measures to take redundant shared bikes off the street and regulate the industry to restore traffic order.
從9月份開始,北京開始采取措施,把多余的共享自行車從街道上移走,并且對該行業進行規范,以恢復交通秩序。
The Beijing transport commission said no new bikes will be allowed on the street. Companies will be required to take damaged or idle bikes off the street regularly.

An online bike supervision platform is under construction and will be put to use by year end. The commission is also devising a regulation on supervising the services of bike operators.

China’s bike-sharing market has grown rapidly over the past few years as part of a booming digital economy.
