三、你知道主謂一致嗎?看看語法書吧!
英語句子中的謂語動詞要和主語在人稱和數上保持一致,而在實際運用中又有一些具體情況,概括起,主謂一致要遵循以下三個原則:
1.語法一致原則
主語的數不受后面修飾它的短語的影響。如:
Tom together with his parents has visited the Great Wall.湯姆和他父母一起游覽過長城。
The number of students in our school is rising. 我們學校的學生人數在上升。
2. 意義一致原則
有的主語看似復數形式但表示的是單數意義,謂語動詞一般用單數形式;
Eating too much is bad for your health. 吃得太多有害健康。
表示抽象概念的動詞不定式和v.-ing形式作主語時,謂語動詞一般用單數形式;
Two years is really a very long time. 兩年的確是個很長的時間。
3. 就近一致原則
當兩個主語用or, either ... or ..., neither ... nor ..., not only ... but also ...等連詞連接時,謂語動詞應與最鄰近的主語在數上保持一致。
There is a book and three rulers on the desk. 桌子上有一本書和三把尺子。

英語句子中的謂語動詞要和主語在人稱和數上保持一致,而在實際運用中又有一些具體情況,概括起,主謂一致要遵循以下三個原則:
一、語法一致原則
1. 如果主語是單數形式,謂語動詞也要用單數形式。如:
The population of China is the largest in the world.
中國的人口是世界上最多的。
2. each, either, neither, nobody, nothing, anything, anybody, everybody, everything等不定代詞作主語時,謂語動詞用單數形式。如:
Each worker has been trained well.每一個工人都經過很好的訓練。
Neither of my two hands has scars. 我的兩只手上都沒有傷疤。
3. 主語的數不受后面修飾它的短語的影響。如:
r. Zhao together with his 10 students is cleaning the classroom no 趙老師和他的10個學生正在打掃教室。
二、意義一致原則
1. 有的主語看似復數形式但表示的是單數意義,謂語動詞一般用單數形式。如:
The news is exciting. 這是個令人振奮的消息。
The United States is in North America.
美國位于北美洲。
Two years is really a very long time.
兩年的確是個很長的時間。
10 million dollars is a big amount of money. 一千萬美元是筆大錢。
2. what, who, which, all, any, none, more, most 等代詞用作主語時,謂語動詞用單數形式還是復數形式要根據具體情況確定。如:
What he tells you is not believable at all! 他跟你說的根本不可信!
Which are his articles? 哪些是他的?
3. 表示抽象概念的動詞不定式和v.-ing形式作主語時,謂語動詞用單數形式。如:
To be or not to be, that is the question. 生存還是死亡,這是一個問題。
Smoking is strictly prohibited in public places. 吸煙在公共場所是被嚴格禁止的。
4. 一些集體名詞(如family, team, group, class, audience, company等) 作主語時,如被看作一個整體,謂語動詞用單數形式;如果強調集體中的成員,謂語動詞用復數形式。如:
Her family is a happy one. 她的家庭是個幸福的家庭。
Her family are interested in fishing. 她的家人都喜歡釣魚。
5. 由“分數 / 百分數 + of + 名詞”構成的短語作主語時,如果of后面的名詞是可數名詞的復數形式,謂語動詞用復數形式;如果of后面的名詞為不可數名詞或可數名詞的單數形式,謂語動詞用單數形式。如:
Two thirds of the building is large enough for us.
這幢樓房的三分之二對我們說就足夠大了。
Sixty-five percent of the books have been written in English.
百分之六十五的書籍是用英語寫的。
三、就近一致原則
1. 當兩個主語用or, either ... or ..., neither ... nor ..., not only ... but also ...等連詞連接時,謂語動詞應與最鄰近的主語在數上保持一致。如:
Either ary or her brothers are going to help me.
瑪麗或者是她的兄弟們會幫助我。
2. 由here / there引起的句子中,謂語動詞的單復數形式通常和作主語的第一個名詞或代詞在數上保持一致。如:
Here is a plate of ham and two bottles of wine. 這是給你的一盤火腿和兩瓶紅酒。
There is a bird, two cats, three dogs and some goldfish in the old granny’s house. 這位老奶奶家里有一只鳥、兩只貓,三只狗和一些金魚。
