To the youth
If you think you are beaten, you are;
If you think you dare not, you don't;
If you want to win but think you can't;
It's almost a cinch you won't.
If you think you'll lose, you're lost;
For out of the world we find
Success begins with a fellow's will;
It's all in a state of mind.
Life's battles don't always go
To the stronger and faster man,
But sooner or later the man who wins
Is the man who thinks he can.

如果你認為你敗了，那你就落荒而逃；
如果你認為你不敢，那你就會退縮畏葸；
如果你想贏然而認為你不能；
那么毫無疑難你就會失敗。
假如你以為你輸了，你就輸了；
由于我們發明人間間
從一個人的意志開端；
勝利是一種心態。
生活之戰中，
成功并非老是屬于更強跟更快的人，
勝利者畢竟是
認為本人能行的人。

There are gains for all our losses. 我們失去的所有都能得到彌補，
There are balms for all our pain; 我們所有的苦楚都能得到撫慰；
But when youth,the dream,departs 可是夢幻似的青春一旦消逝，

And it never comes again. 從此一去不復返。
We are stronger, and are better, 我們變得日益堅強、更臻完善，
Under manhood’s sterner reign; 在嚴格的成年生涯驅使下；

Following youth, with flying feet, 已跟著青春飛逝，
And will never come again. 不再返回。
Something beautiful is vanished, 美好已經消失，
And we sigh for it in vain; 我們枉自為此嘆氣；
We behold it everywhere, 只管在天地之間，
On the earth, and in the air, 我們處處能見青春的魅力，
But it never comes again! 可是它不再返回
