　　若分數所在of短語作主語，謂語依of后的名詞而定：

　　A third of the boys have passed the test. A third of the work has been over.

　　Two fifths of the students are on time. Two fifths of the 初二 land is polluted.

　　(of后是可數名詞復數時，謂語用復數；of后是不可數名詞時，謂語用單數。)
