這里還要與大家分享兩個單詞：bully 和 coward。這兩個單詞都來自牛，一個來自公牛bull，一個來來自母牛cow. bully 做動詞指“持強凌弱”、“欺負他人”的意思，作名詞表示這樣的人，很顯然帶有貶義。而coward表示“懦夫”、“膽小鬼”，派生詞有cowardly 形容詞“膽小的”；cowardice 名詞“懦弱”�？磥砉ull 和母牛 cow 都有一定的貶義，所以牛年翻譯為the year of the ox 就顯得比較妥當了。
