【順口溜】
比較級，很好記。
一般直接加er；
以e結尾只加r；
遇到一元一輔重讀閉音節，

末尾字母要雙寫：
bigger , fatter , thinner 和hotter；

不規則變化特殊記，
good—better，bad—worse 要牢記。

【解讀】
含有形容詞比較級的句子結構為: A+助動詞be+形容詞比較級+than+B。而助動詞be可分為am、is、are。

形容詞變為其比較級，直接在后面加er的單詞有：old——older，young——younger，strong——stronger，long——longer，high——higher，short——shorter，tall——taller等；形容詞以e結尾的變為比較級，只加r即可，如：nice——nicer。
